Moody`s Corp. Reveals 16% Advance In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Moody`s Corp. (MCO) reported earnings for its third quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $260.36 million, or $1.34 per share. This was up from $224.78 million, or $1.11 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.18 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 9.8% to $917.1 million. This was up from $834.9 million last year.
